An oboe reed blank is cane tied onto a staple, ready to be soaked and scraped. It is constructed using the same materials and to the same specifications as our student and professional reeds. 
 
A note to reedmakers-in-training: if you aren't sure which options are best, just drop us an email and we are happy to make a recommendation.  Better yet, ask your oboe teacher what selections they would recommend!
